The Effect of Swimming Training and Cinnamon Consumption on the Gene Expression of GLUT4 and Insulin Receptor in the Brown Adipose Tissue of Diabetic Rats

Background: The effect of training on the gene expression GLUT4 and insulin receptor (IR) has been investigated in some studies, but simultaneous swimming along with cinnamon consumption is unknown. Objective: This study aimed to examine six weeks IR brown adipose tissue diabetic rats. Methods: In this experimental study, 28 rats were randomly divided into four groups seven animals, including 1- control (C), 2- (Ci), 3- (S), 4- plus (S + Ci). Rats 3 4 trained for five sessions. Groups 2 received 200 mg/kg/day. Data analyzed using one-way analysis variance Tukey’s post hoc test at level P ≤ 0.05. Results: S, Ci, S Ci was significantly (P = 0.001) higher than group.
